Claims - How to Report and Check on the Status

IISI ceased agent/broker/producer activities March 2012.  Below is claims contact information for select insurance companies we have represented in the past.

In general, claims should be reported in a timely manner, preferably the same day, or at least the next business day.  Non-emergency claims can be reported to your retail agent.


“Emergency” or other urgent claims should be reported immediately, preferably directly to one of the 24/7 call centers of the insurance company. 
Examples of factors that might make a claim urgent are as follows:

  • Any injuries, especially if someone was transported from the scene in an emergency vehicle.
  • Significant property damage (to your vehicle, other vehicles, or any other property, such as buildings, etc.).
  • Signs of fraud — for example, the accident itself seemed suspicious, people in the other vehicle are claiming injuries that do not seem consistent with the circumstances of the accident, etc.
